I begin to work without a preconceived concept and allow the surface, materials, and free-flowing ideas to dictate the outcome. This method frees me from the dictates of convention or the restrictions of following a routine. I am best working at a fast pace while experimenting with new materials; and work on many pieces at the same time.
My work is about discovering form and color and creating new dimension through the overlapping of elements. If something is not working, I use it as part of a process of continual manipulation to achieve the desired effect. I work most often in a series, each piece being autonomous but part of a whole.
